Dota Strategy: The Soul Keeper - Terrorblade

Introduction

From all of his skill’s, Terrorblade seems to have weak synergy with having a poor STR gain,only 1.9 considering he’s a carry. This strategy will mainly be made based on A SINGLE MOST EFFICIENT ITEM AND SKILL BUILD.

Skills

Metamorphosis (T)
Transforms Terrorblade into a powerful Demon with a ranged attack.
Level 1 - Lasts 30 seconds.
Level 2 - Lasts 40 seconds, 50 bonus hit points.
Level 3 - Lasts 50 seconds, 100 bonus hit points.
Level 4 - Lasts 60 seconds, 150 bonus hit points.
Mana Cost: 125/115/107/100
Cooldown: 80/165/150/110
Comment: A great skill, but not early. Metamorphosis is one of Terrorblade's DPS dealing ability, giving him a ranged attack about 550 and some minor hp bonuses. Allows images that are generated later to have ranged attack and bonus hp as well. Only 1 level is gotten early, for ganking purposes and excess levels are absurd early.Terroblade’s only single unit battle synergy skill. Metamorphosis allows Terrorblade to into ranged form making him a 550 ranged hero, allowing him to wreck towers like child’s play. With help from illusion’s and allies, you can take down a single tower almost within 8 seconds with decent item. This skill synergies wonderfully with EoS allowing him to be one of the best ganker when equipped with decent items. Excess points of this skill is fairly unnecessary early game, since the HP bonuses are minimal as well mana consuming and un-spammable. Since metaorphosis last forever on an illusion until it is destroyed/end timer, we will not be maxing it. Metamorphosis casting animation is cancelable. ALWAYS metamorphosis first if you’re going on a serious killing, so that CI’s can have ranged attack. 

Soul Steal (E)
Strangles the soul of a target enemy unit and extracts bits and pieces of it. Channeling Spell.
Lasts 8 seconds.
Level 1 - Absorbs 20 hit points per second.
Level 2 - Absorbs 40 hit points per second.
Level 3 - Absorbs 60 hit points per second.
Level 4 - Absorbs 80 hit points per second.
Mana Cost: 45
Cooldown: 12
Comment: One of the finest lane staying skill ever, but leaves you opened to spells especially Meat Hook(Pudge) and Elune's Arrow(Mirana Nightshade) . After 2, i find excess levels are useless, and helped in minor aspects only. And therefore 2 is all the way we'll go until level 23. You can, if you want, max them. Not my style actually.Maximum cast range of SS is approximately 650.DO REMEMBER THIS IS NOT A HARASSING SKILL. Do not use it as a harassing skill, ever. You can still leech the hp of a WW hero given he does NOT GET OUTSIDE LEECH RANGE. A comparison of SS with LD -Gotten earlier -Lower CD -Lower mana cost -TB is better at dealing damage via Physical, so this is not capable of deadly combos. 

Conjure Image (C)
Creates a copy of Terrorblade which deals damage. Lasts 30 seconds.
Level 1 - Images deal 25% damage.
Level 2 - Images deal 35% damage.
Level 3 - Images deal 45% damage.
Level 4 - Images deal 55% damage.
Mana Cost: 70/ 85/ 100/ 115
Cooldown: 16
Comment: His bread and butter, late game and mid game, CI is the way for Terrorblade to deal mighty damage and push effectively. As they can have ranged attack when generated when TB is under the effect of metamorphosis, this skill makes it all different from any other cloning skill present. The damage dealt by these clones are the most significant, and effective. The only part where this skill loses to Phantasm, is you can't generate a bunch of these images at once, and it reveals the real TB.THIS IS WHAT MAKES AND BREAKS TERROBLADE. Fairly seems quite useless early game, which is a reason to avoid this early. Also to be remembered, IMAGE WILL ONLY GET RANGED ATTACK IF CONJURED IN METAMORPHOSIS. Metamorphosis on images last indefinitely, until it’s timer runs out. Illusion DOES NOT BENEFIT FROM DIRECT(damage/speed/armor), and benefits from stats.Images are able to bash/crit but any occurring bash is regarded as a “fake” bash. More info please go to ~fwii’s image guide. CI cast animation is cancel able. A comparison of CI with MI -Low CD -Stronger images -Ranged(metamorphosis) -Casting animation does not dispel runes -Allows efficient neutralling -Less images than MI -No cast invulnerability -Casting animation reveals the true TB(DO NOT USE THIS AGAINST A STRONG ENEMY BY CASTING IN FRONT OF HIM. PURE STUPIDITY

Sunder (R)
Sunder severs the soul from both Terrorblade and a target hero, then exchanges them, carrying part of the units' life forces. The percentage hit points of each unit are switched with the souls. Some hit points must remain on enemy heroes.
Level 1 - Range is 250, 33% hit point minimum.
Level 2 - Range is 250, 28% hit point minimum.
Level 3 - Range is 250, 23% hit point minimum.
Mana Cost: 200/100/0
Cooldown: 200/120/60
Comment: Probably his most hated skill ever, Sunder further adds up to his amazing lane stay capability as well as allowing him to net some easy kills. Do remember that Terrorblade is able to cast this on ANY HEROES AND HERO IMAGES, allowing you to piss a KS-ing ally or an emergency Sunder on images. DO NOT USE THIS TO HELP ALLIES, EVER. AND ALSO,THIS SKILL CANNOT KILL. And Sunder goes through BKB but hero that you target takes no effects. Sunder cast animation is cancelable. Comparison of Sunder with Reincarnation -Lower manacost -Allows you to heavily damage an enemy hero -Able to form deadly combos -Linken block able -Has casting range and low -Active skill

Pros And Cons 

PROS
-Powerful lane staying skill.
-Able to shift into ranged form.
-One of the most powerful illusion hero ever.
-A scary ultimate able to synergize with multiple other hero skills.
-An nice AGI gain of 3.2 ,thus making him a good image hero based on damage.
-One of the best pushers ever.
-Excellent base move speed, only challenged by Nessaj(325)

CONS
-Fairly low HP and mana.
-Easily harassed.
-Fairly item dependant.
-No form of disable or slow.
-His image ability completely reveals the “real” TB 

SKILL BUILD JUSTIFICATION 

Quite a build there. First of all, why not SS is maxed instantly? SS is indeed an amazing lane control skill. However, it’s purpose is simple, to help you lane stay as well as save golds that most players would use up to buy consumables/regenerations. This build focuses more on mid game farming using CI to boost your items almost as well as your gameplay, so we WILL NOT be using SS as main laning or creeping skill, since images would do the neutral tanking. And also, if you’re facing people who gets Linken’s to block sunder, SS can trigger the CD and waste the defense. DO NOT USE THIS LIKE PUGNA’S LIFE DRAIN. This is not good combined with disables, and its purpose is only for lane staying early. SS is considered as magical damage so on heroes, it will only deal 30 damage since we get only 2 levels of it. SO DO NOT USE ON HEROES.

*following new game styles, maxing SS sees to be a must in 50% situations

Metamorphosis only level one is simple, it is plainly used when ganking, and as you severely lack of any slow and have almost 0% guarantee that you are getting first blood, this is not necessarily maxed until a more viable level, about level 17 where Mid game heroes and you will
start ganking around the map like a hula doll. Earlier maxing of this skill is completely absurd, and unusually weird, since 50% the use of metamorphosis is for your clones to have ranged attacks too. And the most reasonable level to max this is by level 11 and onwards, but that will mean you will have weak images. If you replace stats gain with image, you will have lower stats and thus, you and your images will be weaker, and so, early maxing of this skill is unreasonable.

CI is maxed later to start you neutral creeping so you can rush up for your EoS. A single level of CI is taken due to the several tactiques that we are able to apply with it. CI’s early is stupid, it improves so little since you don’t have appropriate stats, and the damage they do is negligible and extremely low. You need some stats to boost them, and stats do just that. You also can’t spam them early, due to TB suffering AIDS early game.

Sunder is maxed every time possible is a no brainer, it’s reduced C/D is good enough reason to state that. To make use of sunder to kill early and mid game efficiently, you need a partner who can dish out some 400++ damage nuke in second. Do not argue with the ks, your main aim early is to overlevel and overfarm others.

Attribute bonuses is taken earlier so you can utilize SS more often, and allows you to generate images more often later. They give images more damage, and more survivability.
